Emily on Lars, Starbucks, and Sex Dolls

Lars and the Real Girl is being released this weekend, which can only mean one thing: Emily Mortimer hitting the interview circuit. I'm not in the states to see her on talk shows, unfortunately, but the magic of this strange creature called the internet can bring me things like this short Q & A with New York Magazine. Among the things we learn: Emily and I both think Starbucks is Mecca (kind of), and Emily saying 'fuck' is just as wonderful and adorable in print as it is when she's screaming it at Courtney Cox and Parker Posey.

Plus, she briefly talks about her hubbie, Alessandro Nivola, which gives me an excuse to post more Emissandro goodness.

AWWWWWWW

So I finally watched GOAL which I always wanted to see because of Alessandro alone, but there she was, much to my surprise, the beautiful girl was played by... tada... Anna Friel, who hopefully will now be famous from Pushing Daisies (seriously, I hope you get to download it there in Australia and watch it by the beach, you lucky dog! Seriously, LOVE that country)!

Now that JD reminded me. I've always really wanted to watch Dear Frankie...

Oh my god...she's amazing in Dear Frankie. She's about 85% of the reason you should see it. It's a good movie, of course, but she's spectacular.

Yeah..how are those Goal! movies? I've never seen one.

Goal was cute. cliched but cute and sort of what I needed at the time so I was okay with the by-the-books-script. Plus, Alessandro is hilarious as a Beckhamesk football star.

Ahhh.. I LOVED Australia. I was actually thinking of possibly coming down in the new year depending on what happens with work.
