How weird is best actress this year, though? A virtually unknown (in the U.S.) French actress, a Disney princess, and a previous winner from a film LONG out of theaters are essentially the frontrunners.

Laura Linney deserves one almost everytime she's on screen but I was going to back Juno's Ellen Page but now I think I might have to root for Amy Adams again in Enchanted. Seriously. I think it will be overlooked because it's a family Disney comedy but her performance was sheer (ahem) enchantment for the lack of a better word.
